To tell you the truth, making this inspired more despair than the other way around. I have to stop working on it. Gotta love bipolar.
I've never dove so deeply into an orchestral song in such a funk - it was the same way with Eryn, which was inspired by the beauty of winter turning to spring, the shift towards a blooming out of frozen death, and led to sort of an existential awe that propelled me through the troubles of that year.
This time I'm just bitter... things are better, but it feels like such a struggle just to keep moving. This too shall pass.
(Uses Squidfont orchestra, nearly all of it, FPC Default, 3xOsc, and a buttload of effects/automation. No live playing because I'm a lazy/tired bastard, although I might rerecord it with some)
