A while back when I first listened to the above, I thought, "Hey, I could try to use sounds from Windows!" Of course, it's not as excellent as Step's more current cinematic tracks on NG, but I still find this impressive, and added the track into my favorite audio list! Parts of this remind me of Asian cinematics when it comes to style, and that is quite epic for computer sounds...

The point: This particular mix inspired me to do something cool with NOT ONLY Windows XP sounds (I still use my XP for mostly minimal graphics stuff offline), but sounds from the Windows 8 laptop I use at home a lot, in addition with the old Windows 2000 computer I use while at work when there's slow traffic. (It's where the magic of creating music happens.)

A week and a half's worth of much effort, thought, patience, time, and some frustration went into putting this all together. My most favorite part that starts at 1:06 was THE HARDEST for me to do overall! Picked so much over it, I did.

All the melodies and FX are Windows sounds, including the XP Shut Down and Microsoft Sound, Windows 2000 Exclamation, Error, Close, and Chord. Most of the Windows 8 ones are so pretty sounding, by the way. From that I know I've used Chord, Microsoft Sound, Foreground, some of the Alarm sounds...

This is very fun to listen to! Very creative work you did there!

SilverFoxJams responds:

Thanks for the kind words. I'll have you know that I'm thinking of making another thing made up of Windows sounds, hopefully in the not *too* distant future!

Like this song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SilverFoxJams responds:

Hey thanks! Since you enjoyed this one a lot, I must recommend Mortal Kombat Komputer 1.2 to you. Check that out sometime. I used some more Windows sounds in that.

I might make another Windows medley later on, since it was really neat and interesting making this one. :)

nice mellow mix, really chill, i like that :D has a jazzy feel to it, for me to do something like this would take forever, using windows noises, really creative, nice job. interesting melody too.

SilverFoxJams responds:

Hee, jazzy, huh? I never would have thought of that!

So, This is the piece you told me about ?
Great work dudette, very interesting and creative.
It just needs better transitions between themes to be completely solid.
Really enjoyable song.

SilverFoxJams responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed! I agree on the transitions. There's quite a bit to improve later on.

Wow! I was waiting for this!
Great experimental piece, Fox. Your articulated well the Windows Sounds, very carefully!
I just LOVE the part from 1:43 to 2:30, it was awesome!
The only negative point for me here is that it looks more like a medley than a one song. You should try to make the Sections talk to each other more, so they can have some sort of "relation".
Not a reason for not giving you a 5/5, though. Good job! :D

SilverFoxJams responds:

:D Yeah, it is rather a medley of things... I know the first transition was a bit abrupt, for one thing. I just could not think of anything else to make that better at the time.

I'll fool around with this and improve by adding more and make a version 1.2 of this sometime later on. For the time being, my musical fox muse is telling me, "Start more on the MK Remix soon, okay?! All the computer voice parts aren't all together yet!"
