I think the title fits nice with this track when I couldn't think of anything else. I like this one a lot! I've done various beats, used loops from both of my music makers that's on my new laptop and the one I use whenever traffic is slow at my bookshop. (I get tons of free time. Sometimes it's sad.)

So, the beats in this are flat out awesome, and there's some nice combinations. Towards the middle, it sounds epic when it slows down a little more. This definitely something a little different from the rest I've produced! I surprised myself during the process and once I finished within a day. That first little beat I did with a couple one shots was tough but I managed to get it the way I wanted it. ...I can't figure out what genre that's listed is supposed to fit to this. Let's just go with down tempo.

Hmmm interesting... I have to say I like the main theme. It has a nice dark mood. I think some variations here and there would prevent it from getting to repitative after a while. When the drums start actually I have to regret I was completely surprised because they appear like they are not really in sync with the rest of the track... It´s nice that you are trying to be experimental with the percussion but in this case it just sounds as if something is wrong... Maybe check if you can quantisize this part? Later when the full beat starts it´s getting better. Also the drums in general (especially this "metal percussion thingy") are a bit loud in the mix washing out the rest of the instruments. The change towards middle is nice but if you would give the lead a bit more "punch" I think this would really suit this track. Anyway... Nice track with neat ideas which has some production flaws and could use a bit more variation at the beginning. Hope this was helpful since this isn´t really my genre...

Thanks a lot for the input. I greatly appreciate this. I'll be sure to do a better version of this sometime later.

I think I'm getting a BIT better with making my own beats now, in my current project, a very big one at that. I've played back several times and kept trying different placement things so I can get how I want it to sound like. It's tough though! Slowly but surely I'll get through it.

It's a very unique piece for sure. The drums at 0:46 seem out of place - they don't seem to fit with the groove you made. The rest of the drums and percussion work out amazingly with the song. I think the added synth around 1:49 again, seems just a tad out of place.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on your song. It's amazing in all other areas except those areas. They just need more work is all. The rest of the song is really groovy and flowing. I really like the synth at the beginning - it was really nice! All in all, it's a great song, I can see the reasons why you like it so much, it just needs a tad more work.

Thanks for your honest review. Perhaps I could replace that beeping synth with a sample I could create, now that I have a VST, along with a great audio editor. :)

I'm working on doing better with the one-shot percussions in making beats. I'm doing so in this remix of my first dubstep. I think the whole mid-section of it will be a custom beat. So much to do, and I just know it will be a long while until I get that beat right. It's fun to get into, but at the same time it's such a challenge!
