A little power-pop song I did with my friend Andrea singing lead vocals. Ever feel like you're nothing special? Me too.

Revisiting this song after 5 years. For some reason I started singing it to myself midday and remembered it was on newgrounds. So I went to my old account and played it, now it's in this account's favorites. Really well made, and catchy too. Although the chorus is repeated a lot, it's not annoying since there are strengthening layers aside from the vocals. The mid transition was wonderful as well, well done. It's still a good song after not hearing it for 5 years and I'm glad I came back so I could remember most of the words.

Ginchy responds:

Thanks! Glad you like it. I'll probably re-record it and put the "official" version on an album one of these days. Thanks for your positive vote and comments!

Yet another song of yours going into my favourites :P

This is the sort of film you can imagine them playing at the start of a movie, if you know what I mean. It's happy and simple!

Blown away

Wow.. loved the lyrics, and the tune was well-played and catchy - you really get pop music. The harmonies in the chorus were masterfully done, the bridge was seamless and tasteful. The instrumentation didn't hog the spotlight over the vocals. The chorus will be going through my head all day! 10/10.

Ginchy responds:

Glad you liked it. It's cool that you picked up on the all pop music song-smithing elements. This song was my attempt at making as good a pop song as I possibly could. Driving beat, good melody, simple but catchy lyrics, lots of harmony featuring vocals over instrumentation. You should hear the demo of this song... completely different. It was in 6/8 and sounded like a hillbilly folk song.

We're pretty happy with how it turned out.
