PATRICK: Reading my poem all sexy like (what a guy!)
KRASH 17's NOTE: When I wrote this, I was plagued with the thought that I wasn't doing anything that I felt had value. I think this is something everyone struggles with at some point, but how we respond to it varies greatly from person to person. When I finally worked up enough courage to face the fact that all of our lives are stamped with expiration dates, I found that I was also faced with the pivotal choice of how I would live my life, and that choice is what guided me when writing this piece. What choice will you make?
TROISNYX'S NOTE:
When I first read through the text of this poem, and then re-read it, one sound came to me, filling my heart. It was the sound of the bodhrán. Seeing as how this piece was about life, death and the heart beating as a drum, I kept picturing the final result as beat, breath and spoken word. As I play the bodhrán myself, I decided to set the piece to a heartfelt beat. It's a drum, but putting "Drums" on the sidebar instead of "Percussion" would make some think I'm playing on a drum kit, which I'm not.
I did my best with the beatdown, but perhaps I made a right hash of it. Regardless -- hope you enjoy the addition of the sound of the innermost catacombs of my heart.
The right guy was picked to read the poem. I honestly would have liked to read along while listening, but that's all right. He pronounced the words very clearly. You're right on his voice sounding sexy, lol.
The drum rhythm added quite an amount of tension into this piece! I didn't notice anything off while listening to the Bodhran. I think it would have sounded even better if there was a little reverb to it though.
I Want to review it but i serrious dont know what 2 say about it ... how can i judge someones heartbeat and someones poem. I Listed to it and i followd the drumm.
And Yes @ Krash : Its is treu we all stamped with expiration dates. The Q about that is.
Can you extend your date by makeing right decisions ( Karma ) ( Also works the way around in negative ) But ill always be positive and always try to help and know i will expand my life till i reached the border of re-evolving. ;) Like a butterfly.
This piece is kinda unique cause i never heared something like this. i normaly review music. This is something out of my range. But nice to hear something that is different.
