Man this song has been a trip. I put a lotta hours into this trying to get it sound just the way I wanted and I think it paid off... ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ) I accidentally embedded a little bit of my soul into this song so watch out for that.

Here are the lyrics!

Dig, dig, dig dig... (repeats until first verse)

Dig.
Dig like a steady flame.
Burns with dying time.
This little twang of mine.
This little twang of mine...

Rattles like a millennium shovel,
With the crunch of the heavy grave,
Bathed in time and dust,
Impervious to rust.

(instrumental)

What is left in the ground?
A new breathtaking sound?
Revelations abound that ipso facto confound.
Wringing fistfuls of dirt
I hurl my tools down at the earth.
This albatross beneath my feet has finally got me beat.

What have I yet to find?
I want that peace of mind
To know my work is sane,
that nothing I do is in vain.
I've dug myself so deep,
This chasm goes goes so far,
But I will dig until this dirt becomes the ashes of stars.

(instrumental)

Dig.
Dig like a burning flame.
Burns with dying time.
This little twang of mine.
This little twang of mine...

Rattles like a millennium shovel,
With the crunch of the heavy grave,
Bathed in time and dust,
Impervious to rust.

I'm a sucker for good vocals and with lyrics like these, it's like icing on top of a giant cookie cake on top of ice cream. Especially enjoyed 2:40-2:50 with the muffled sounding instrument in the background. Actually, I especially enjoyed everything.

You could say that I really "dig" this song. ha. Ha. HA. *is shot for bad pun*

Keep up the great work! I'll be watching O3O

That church bell after 10 seconds already won me over ;)

I'd love to give you helpful feedback, but I don't really have anything to criticise. I like the beat, the instruments, the singing (+lyrics), the transitions as well as the different segments. Mixing is good as usually too :)

I especially like the guitar solo.

You have a very unique style that I can't help but love :3

I wouldn't be too worried about the quality of the piece not being good enough, as it's good :P
The ending is fine as well.

Great job, as always ;)

GhostLawyer responds:

Thank you so much! Getting a review from you consistently brightens my day. Even if you don't have anything to critique, you always manage to tell me things that I need to hear for my own mental health. To tell me my style is unique is probably the best compliment I could hope to receive. A lot of people try to compare me to other artists, which can be flattering sometimes, but inevitably I want my work to sound like my own.

I've made some slight changes to this song since this version but I've finally got what I'd consider a finished product. I'm gonna update it on here tomorrow. Thanks for listening!
