I was very exciting when a lot of people enjoy Feather. This one, I take it to the next level. Creepiest song I have ever made...

As a person with schizophrenia, I have problems with the world surrounding me. Many people do not understand why sometime I talked to myself or act differently. We people being tormented by this sickness of our mind.

So I decided to make a piece about it.

I kinda pushed the limit of my sound design skill. Some of these string and choir sounds are from libraries like Basstard, LASS 2 and Liberis. Then there are real life samples, made from stuff in my house. Recorded everything from bathroom. Put into Izotope Iris, Guitar Rig and Zebra 2. Then used FX like reverb, distortion and surround from Kontakt to make the sounds.

Kinda scary when mixing it in the dark. Creep the heck out of me...

Wow. It is wonderful! I would like to use that soundpont.

They are not SF sir. But if you could point out which sound you want, I could send you the WAV files.

BRILLIANT. LOVE IT. hahaha. I could probably write a review about each sound, but I won't do that to you XD. This definitely is scary! and the crispy presence of the sounds are in your face. A lot of these noises could be creature sound effects. The production on this is outstanding. If you don't mind me asking, what kinds of things did you take audio recordings from? My friends and I used to get a coffee grinder machine, laundry machine, dish washer recordings and twist them up in the editor.

The first sound was a mashed up of screams I got from a Big Fish Audio library. Using reverse sounds. fades and a special delays. Some of the pads later are from recorded winds and breathing sounds, recreated in Iris, a darker version of the breath pad in Feather. Then the "scratch" like sounds are made by grinding woods and plastics. All strings are from LASS 2 and Basstard. There are creaking door or opener. Then Bwhaaa like are made with string sample in Zebra 2, so it was a synth. White noises and other saw synth. The final hit was actually from a neighbor's oil barrel (used in Modern Winter War).

Thanks, I would love to implement these into cinematic music. :)

This is soo creepy and so good. It kinda reminds me of the intro music to american horror story, with those creepy textures going on. How do you manage to put material out at such a fast pace? its quite astounding.

KatMaestro responds:

I recycled the sounds of previous songs and did some bending with them. Actually they were really easy to make and remake.

Thanks :)

If this truly is a description of a schizophrenics mind it must be one hell of a condition to live your life with. This really is scary. As LSD already mentioned, I think it would definitely work in a horror game. Like when you enter a place where there is some supernatural thing lurking in the corners just waiting to get at you. I don't want to keep listening to this which I guess makes this piece do it's job perfectly :D

Every schizophrenic person has different hallucinations. They're rarely similar.

Thank you :)
