This is a great song, portraying a sense of danger and triumph over said danger. I too came from Slam Dunk; when I heard the little clip in that short, I knew I had to listen to the whole thing. First off, it reminds me a lot of Icarus, the main theme from the game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Secondly, the vocals really add a nice touch, adding to the images I mentioned earlier (they also fit Tevin Birch, based on the quote at least). They do create an image of a forest, packed with entities such as tribesmen (friend and foe), which also manifest a feeling of... maybe a rite of passage or something. The percussion also adds to the idea. Of course, this is subjective in many senses. What isn't subjective is that you did an amazing job.
It is subjective in many senses. And that is good, people should have their own images of what a score is truly about, what moments defines it etc, Honestly i was surprised and honored that they decided to use this track.
It really was a fantastic piece, intricate and full of emotion. I found it through sandwich-eater's animation and I think the way they used it was beautiful (the end of the song). In a more serious animation parts that sound like that could be really emotional and suspenseful. I request that you do something more like that! Great job!
Haha, Thank you. It is always fun to read that people like what you do. Il make sure to make something similar.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
