This composition is inspired by this brilliant art piece by keepwalking -

I really enjoyed working on this and thanks to RealFaction, and judges, for allowing the contest to happen :)

I like how this pieces progresses and builds up, as it's a cinematic output with a good degree of storytelling. It's quite a shame that it doesn't have a big orchestral sound and each instrument sounds rather dry compared to your titanic artwork of choice. I absolutely love the percussion work you've performed, as it gives plenty of pace and it really carries the track through its climax and logical conclusion. It's a really nice effort that whereas lacks in intensity it compensates with an engaging pace and dynamics.

Thanks for your honest review! I'm glad you liked the percussion, I actually thought that was the most lacking part of the piece but it's good to have outside input. The general theme seems to be the lacking of intensity in the instruments so that's something I will have to consider in future, working towards that big orchestral sound.

I could really feel the picture when the low background drums came in, and I think it was neat how they doubled the low brass. I think several of the instruments sound too dry, keeping them from feeling as grand and large as they would otherwise. Great music!

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you like it! I'll consider your point, perhaps I'll add a touch of reverb in future to account for the dryness.

Pretty solid, really awesome. Emid made a song based on that picture last year interestingly enough. This also fits the picture well like the other song. It sounds like giant footsteps. Nicely done. Reminds me of movie music.

Thanks! I'm glad you think so, I'd like to create more music in this way. I especially enjoyed doing it to the artwork and it truly influenced the sound, like the giant footsteps as you say :)
