So this is the first time I ever tried adding vocals to a song I made.

I know it is not the best but I actually really liked how it turned out!

Please tell me why you downrate below 3 if you do so I can become a better artist.

Lyrics:
I promised you to sing
but you know I cant sing
so now I'm doing this
I'm doing this for you

I loved you since we met
Now I love you to dead
I want to be with you
I cant live without you

I want to be with you
and I want to hug you too
I wanna see you soon
I want to kiss you too

the lyrics make no sense
but I'm still loving you
I wanted to do something
but didn't know what to do

So I'm just telling you
I'm loving you

Haven't downrated below 3 but i'll still give you some tips for vocals! :)

For a start though good song, passionate lyrics really liked the the trance kinda synth that responded to the vocals.

With vocals they always (Never an always with music) but when it comes to mix down lead vocals do tend to cut down the center of the mix with the drums. At points it almost sounded like the vocals were ping pong delaying left to right (In my shyte samsung mobile headphones).

When using delay on vocals you almost want to make a duplicated copy of the vocals and set delay to 100% wet, this way it widens out your vocals but your main vocals are still cutting through the center of the mix making vocals easier to hear.

You can add a lowpass filter on the delayed vocals to about 7,000kHz this will add a sense of depth to the vocals too.

Good stuff for a first experience with vocals though man, nice effect on them whatever it is melodyne, autotune i dunno lol.

Ikamiru responds:

The microphone I'm using is pretty bad I'm quite sure it would have sounded a lot better with a clearer microphone. But I really appreciate the time and effort you put into writing this review. Thanks!
And the vocals were created with Fruity Loops Vocodex VST and Edison for recording.

Review for you to improve in a producer way:

The structure of the song is pretty poor, you have same monotone bass without any hithats kicks and breaks in the song, what i am saying is that it goes the same way the hole song, i dont really hear a build upp for the main melody it just starts randomly at some parts. Listen to other songs and try to use a simmilar strucutre on what you are trying to achive. The mixing on the mono bass and pad is Solid, the lead should have less deep freqencues, I guees u just used some random vocals since the effects on them are frankly terrible. I would recmond to use cutoffs and a kick in the song to make it sound more complete, specially when you introduce a new sound, try have a mid part aswell so you could "rest" abit from the main melody and not get so easly terid.

Thanks for me and i hope you will learn from this :)

Ikamiru responds:

Thanks for the in-depth review I appreciate it.
I actually sung the lyrics and made them myself I just came up with them on spot.
This was more of an experiment and something I wanted to make for a girl I like.
I do know it misses build-up but the main focus was on the lyrics not the melody.
