Hey, guys.

So, I've been dealing with a certain little problem lately. I've gotten a little bored with my music lately. Basically, my style has been relatively the same since late 2012. I like listening to the stuff I make (I make it for me, first and foremost), but I need to freshen things up a bit.

To that end, here's a new song. A good portion of it is a blend of HipHop and Trap, which has been a usual for me lately, but it bridges into a hard-hitting Dubstep section, which is completely different for me. I don't really like Dubstep as a genre, and I've only attempted it maybe three times before, but I'm really pleased with what I've made this time. I hope you, listener, enjoy hearing my newest song as much as I've enjoyed making it. Leave a comment to share any thoughts you may have.

Also, no strings! Absolutely no stringed instruments in this track. All synths for the melodies, which is also a departure for me.

Note: This song features a melody from a much, much older song of mine, one I've always really loved. You can hear it in "The Day The Sun Exploded," at this link. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/464225

Strange tune here with what sounds like a spoonful of pretty much everything, but I would've pegged it as really chill trap with video game elements. Not that genres matter THAT much, but there is a bit an identity crisis going on here. Some of it blends very well and some of it throws me off a little. I think the strangest thing I hear is that DnB loop you used during the drop, which sounds a little off-putting to say the most and not mixed all that well to say the least.

I can't knock it too hard because everything sounds great in pieces, if that makes any sense. I especially liked those detuned chords you used in the drop. The stabs in the track also sounded very good. Nothing wrong with the drums that I would call you out on. Actually, I think they add to the video game atmosphere with their simple design. It's an interesting piece, dude.
