I didn't really put too much effort into this, as I am not an expert on things that are DnB, but. I really, really like the genre. Any helps, comments or tips from avid makers/listeners of DnB?

Hello!

Okay, first thing I noticed about this track is that the drums are very, very weak. That kick is almost non-existent, and I had to hear real carefully to hear it. Get a deeper/snappier, stronger kick and snare sound. As for the hi hats, make it play on every beat (or just a really fast pattern will do). Oh, and have some dynamics in the beat too (like, certain snare hits being quieter than the others).

I have hearing problems, and I'm not sure if you had a bass in this. Throw in a Reese bass, or maybe even a harsh, distorted/buzzy one.

I've got nothing to say about the melody, though.

As for other tips, keep listening to DnB tracks. There's plenty of DnB mixes over on YouTube. Have a listen to any of them, and find the similarities in them.

Ah, hello and thanks for the comment! I'm glad to actually have people listen through my stuff and throw in a bit of critique as well as a rating~

But yes, I didn't really have any sort of bass, nor did I have enough bass knowledge, well. Music theory knowledge in general to properly make a bassline for this little demo, and used a mildly deep string in place of it. Which, apparently serves as a melody, but I have yet to figure it out.

'Sfor the drums, I suppose I'll try to smarten myself up with DnB listening and try to pick up some techniques and better samples for a later DnB track I might make.
