{Note: This account is outdated, head here for my newer stuff:}

I started this song a lil while ago while me and my friend were staying awake for the entire night, I was drinking some coffee while staring at an empty FL Studio project. Hence the name of the song.

As always, please leave an honest review.

Im not going to give you a long review but what I can tell you is that I really like what you created :D
And who cares about little details. If you try to change something just to please one person, the other persons who previously liked it end up not liking it so.... eh.. good job xd

I'm not sure if the click or percussion or whatever it was at the very beginning was intended or not, but it didn't really seem relevant to me. Anyway, that's a small detail. I like the atmosphere, but I think you overdid the reverb on the piano. It progresses very slowly and gets extremely repetitive by the end. I think you need to work more on adding substance to your tracks, TFP. I see you attempted a sweep leading into 2:26, but I think you need to add some automations or sidechaining in order to make in more interesting, because now it just sounds pretty harsh and unimaginative. The piano and crash after that seemed to be a little too loud, and the bass at around 2:45 is way too loud as well. Try thinking more about the balance of the song - how loud you want all those different instruments to be. I don't really think the part at 5:13 added a lot to the piece. You also started to overuse the hats a bit after around 6:10. The part at 6:48 seemed completely irrelevant. I liked the piece of percussion you have going on in the background there, but I think you should've introduced in earlier. If I were you, I would cut off the last 3 minutes or so, and delete all the repetitive parts in the middle. The mixing needs work too imo, but that'll come in time. I like the climactic nature of the song, as well as the instruments and mood, but overall I think 8 minutes is way too long and it could use some more polishing up and balance with the volumes. I'm sorry this isn't a very positive review; I'm just trying to help. Try searching some YouTube tutorials when you have the time, probably on sidechaining, mixing, and automations. One thing that I did a lot in my early days of automations was to mess around with the filters (click on the instrument in FL Studio, then choose INS in the window that comes up, right click on MODX/MODY and "edit events"). Just continue experimenting with new stuff, and you'll get a hell of a lot better really quickly! ;D Keep at it, TheFiercePixel! ^^

Holy crap, this is long. Really, really, long. And useful as usual.

Honestly, I'm still trying to get used to my new PC and it's sound card, it's strangely equalized.

The rest of it though, is honestly my fault because I just wanted to finish this song.

Also, this review is very contradicting to the first review, where TeraVex said it's really good.

That really confuses me.

But, I'll try and put this advice into play next time I make a song.

{Oh yeah, that click at the beginning? I have no clue why that click shows up in the first place.)

Thanks again, (as usual)!
