Tubular Trance

Progressive... Ambient? Rock isn't a genre that typical translates well to something like Trance, but it happened anyway.

The original is Tubular Bells, by Mike Oldfield, one of his greatest works he ever composed, which he did at the mere age of 19. The theme at the beginning was the most famous however, in the entire 40 minute beast, specifically, in America, for its presence in the Horror Film, "The Exorcist".

The Original is much more ethereal in my opinion tough.

Its pretty much my favorite song of all time, I wish I had time to do a proper Trance /Episode/ of Tubular Bells, but damn I don't have that kind of time, maybe if you guys persuade me to start a kickstarter to fund my effort to make the biggest Trance Episode of a Prog Rock song of all time, Then things well be thought of.

And you know how many people would clamour for that?

Nobody duh, I'm kinda terrible at music.

It was pretty simple to make this a trance, the Intro theme is written in 15/8, in compound format, so 7/8 one measure and 4/4 the next.
Trance is dance music, and that requires dance-able beats, as in 4/4. Solution = Add one eighth note to the first measure, and adjust that first repetition a tad, and boom, straight 4/4.

At least I'm proud of that. ; ^ ;

I also have a stupid large uncompressed studio quality version of this, It doesn't even run on Itunes, It's pretty crazy.

Pretty cool. Sounds great!

Spooky. The synths ( or whatever they are) at the beginning kind of hurt my earzies though.

Wilhiemthe2nd responds:

That can not be... You sure you listened at a healthy volume?
This is the best mix I have ever made. [In my opinion, the Uncompressed version sounds even better, and may fix your issue]

Fucking awesome man. I kinda zoned out and started drooling when that bass line first hit. Trance it is, trance it is.

I could never do this kind of stuff. All those tracks and attention to detail. Wow.

Wilhiemthe2nd responds:

I just had to fight the power and refuse to use the stereotypical Double headed Octave Arpped Basses, I had too! I love my complex basslines! :P

Thank you so very very much! The original is my favorite song, and sounds nothing like this remix, but I'm so glad It turned out well.
It's also my best mixed of my songs I believe, so I recommend DLing that WAV file of it, so its not as lossy as the flimsy Mp3. :P

Thank you so much for the review!

I like the remix and I love the transitions you put in it's great no complaints here :)
