A farmhand called Benjamin goes searching for his questionably homosexual talking horse Shoe Shine in a cave. Suddenly, he comes across an Undead Lord who has Shoe Shine captive, and Benjamin challenges him to a fight to win their freedom.

Hilarity should ensue unless I fail at comedy.

In the technical side of things, I didn't want to yell TOO loudly or else the mic would create ear rape. Turtle Beach is nice, but not for serious voice acting. Then again, this whole thing isn't very serious, so enjoy.

VAC 11 Judge Review:

The biggest thing about this that was both good and bad was all the stuff that wasn’t voice acting; the background music and sound effects. While they were all placed pretty well, they were too loud at many spots and drowned out the actual dialogue or distracted from the dialogue. When you’ve got a situation where you don’t want to induce ear rape and therefore speak softer, then you’ve got to pay close attention to how your sound effects sound and how to balance them with the acting you’ve recorded. The story was a typical damsel in distress plot that was turned quite nicely into its own novelty, which I enjoyed. I think Shoe Shine could have spoken with a little quicker pace instead of being so drawn out with his sentences and I think the Undead Lord had some inconsistency with his voice. Other than that, this was pretty concrete; I could visualize the story happening and the broad vocal variation made me understand who was who. Great work!

Well, that was entertaining :D A homosexual talking horse is certainly original, haha. The ending is fun and the whole thing is reminiscent of an episodic cartoon.

I have a few gripes, though, as this seems a bit of a stretch for the "my first" theme. I don't want to come off accusatory, BUT it seems like there has been some pitch tweaking, like the weird voices of the undead army, and the up-down pitch of the demonic voice in the end.

ManDemolition responds:

The Undead voices were actually pretty easy to pull off. With the main villain, though, I did copy and lower the pitches, but I wanted to make sure the original voice could still be heard despite the tweaks to give the villain that demonic vibe so as to not give off an instant disqualification. Hopefully it counts.

Nice job, fellow entrant! I liked the voices, and the music was actually pretty good and fitting, But it could be leveled out a bit, because it kinda drowns the voices out a bit.

ManDemolition responds:

I've been getting a bit of that lately. I'll have to be careful with the music later on.

That was fricking hilarious!

Not in the fa..." that did remind of Matt from "Eddsworld".... man... this is just as funny as "At Wits End" and "tales of a blind enderman"... what a sec... since you can draw and can make great audio.. why not make a series of your comics from your website?
