This is amazing, I for one, like the piano very much.
This is my fifth song uploaded to NewGrounds that I made with GarageBand. I added some fast arpeggio runs of which a synth and piano (all virtual instruments) take turns playing. There is a transition in the last third of the song to a different melody that makes it sound kind of like some sort of dance. With all the filtered synth sounds, I imagine robots full of caffeine and dancing, or something like that... Please feel free to review this for me. Your feedback helps me to improve.
(GarageBand seems to add a slight pop sound to the beginning of this song as it does from time to time in some of my song loops, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It makes it just noticeable enough to where the song doesn't loop quite so smoothly. If anyone knows how to avoid this problem in GarageBand without having to fade the song in and out, please let me know. Thanks!)

5/5 this... is... AWESOME. Its so enjoyable that the rhythm felt like it was echoing through my body. :D
Very sweet! Lovin' the bass!
I'd rather have the piano swapped for perhaps a square wave of some sort, but the lead in at 00:05-00:06 was neat.
In my opinion, the ending wasn't that complex, and the alternate melody sounded really cool. Of course, I enjoy music of a particular niche so eh.
Very nice! Love to see even more!
Thanks, I wasn't sure if using the piano was a good idea or not, and it seems that some people like it and others don't. I guess my subconscious influence from Chopin's amazing piano compositions made me do it. I wanted a break in there from the synth arpeggio, and to me the piano seemed like a good way to do it. But I think I will probably take out the piano in that part and find another way that fits better with the overall style of the song in the next version.
Thanks for the feedback, and I will try to keep the music coming. Right now it's difficult though because of other things going on in my life. But hopefully soon I should be able to do more.
the melody is great, the bass is epic at the start. the build is good, the piano is a good breakup to the hook.
it sounds like an epic side scroll-er music. the break down is flawless. you have a good mind for keeping the song going.
at the end i feel it does get a little too complex, like there is too much going on, maybe a more memorable and simple hook played at the end ready for loop to start over?
Thanks, it's really encouraging to me that you think I "have a good mind for keeping the song going." When I start a song, it's usually just repetitive stuff, and so that is part of the challenge to make it interesting all the way throughout so the listener doesn't get bored. I'm glad you think I succeed in that with this song :D
Sometimes though, I can get a bit carried away with trying to keep the song interesting and I end up adding too many tracks in a section that can make it overly complex and detracting from the main melody. That's something I have to work on. I'll keep this in mind when I work on an improved version of this song. Thanks for your comments!
I like it.
The lead arp synth is great. But what I like the most is the bass sound in the first 30s that somehow breathes like if you were tweaking the cutoff with some sort of automation.
Not a big fan of the piano sound though. You should have sticked to electronic sounds maybe.
Plus it loops well. Nice job !
Thanks, I really like arpeggio runs in music. I think they add a very moving and melodic quality to songs. I'm a big fan of Chopin, the classical pianist and composer, and I love the way the long arppegio runs sound on the piano from many of his songs. So I decided to throw in a piano run in the song kind of for that reason. Probably though, I will go with a more electronic sound throughout the song in the next version when I get my new software.
Yeah, I'm just starting out on making music and learning on my own by experimenting as I go, but I found out that you can take a synth, add distortion, delay, and an automatic filter and then you can get something like the "breathing" bass sound with an automated tweaked cutoff. I think it would work really well for techno-style songs. Thanks for the feedback, I very much appreciate it!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
