Of Alabaster, of Aquamarine

Hey, howdy. So, a couple of months ago, my girlfriend and I split. Real sad stuff. Um, on Valentine's Day, months and months ago, I made her a song as a gift that I never uploaded here, and when we broke up, I reopened the file and completely redid it.

This new song takes the piano sections and several synth patterns from the original and slows them down to about 80 BPM. It's a slow, sad listen, but maybe you'll like it. Leave a comment and tell me what you think.

Oh, and external links.
https://soundcloud.com/retromanomg My Soundcloud. I mainly use it to post short sections of stuff I'll probably just get tired of. Also, the song I made on Valentine's Day, "I Made This For You," can be heard there.

http://seriouslyitsosman.tumblr.com/ I have a Tumblr. Maybe that's not your thing, but you should visit it if I go a week or three without uploading anything and you're wondering if I'm dead or something.

Okay, bye.

Nice song - I can feel the emotions put into it - Your on the brink of something i can feel it :)
- keep on keeping on ;)

Damn I need to make more music.

Well, great song. It's nice to hear something with a quicker beat again.

RetromanOMG responds:

Glad you liked it. Hey, we should collab on something sometime.

Wow. This is amazing.

First off, the intro was great. It set the mood right away. The transition from the intro was seamless, and then we're right into the song. I think the slow, somber piano stuff is good up until 0:57, and then it just gets so much better. It is just so good, I'm sorry I can't offer better feedback than that but at 0:57 I knew I was listening to Retroman. I really like the fading effects on the piano, I like the piano in the background, I like everything about that part.

1:46 The transition is again seamless. The drums really fit at 2:05, even though it's a somber song they fit. 2:27 was just amazing. The drums made it better despite being a somber song. I didn't think the tags 'sad, 'hiphop', and 'slow' would fit but boy do they. Everything came together beautifully. It was awesome.

Honestly, sorry but I can't offer any constructive criticism. I am not really sure what can be improved, it seems amazing right now to me. I wish I could help you a little more. Maybe you could have added some more strings in somewhere, but I'm grasping at straws. It's awesome, I knew I was listening to quality content.

P.S. Really sorry about the breakup. I hope things look up for you in the future.

RetromanOMG responds:

Thanks for the review, Pixelbey. I cannot stress enough how much they make my day, haha.

And double thanks for the condolences. I'm doing just fine, though, starting to focus on music again now that I'm moving on.
