"Sins of the City"
Never thought that I'd grow up
make friends like a grown up
fade away after I show up
lose people that fly up
lose my best friend and gold pup
drink away alone in a club
like a broken warrior in the hut
alone in the world his eyes are shut
Here I stand and look out the window
all I see is black but where's the sin though
as a I kid I just played nintendo
growing up I felt the loss of hope
did drugs and stupid things to cope
but never thought that I'd try to break the rope
jumping off the chair attempt to choke
yet crash on the couch and smoke
weed, just what I need, take a moment to plant the seed
into my mind, into my thoughts,
into my sight, don't do it a lot
but still I go up the hill, the struggle and will
power to never just kill
chill, you will not kill bill
you will just sit
future in the smoke
won't have a fit
though all the the times I've gotten blasted
none of the highs have never lasted
long enough to see the bluff
within myself it's never enough
time, to get to the finish line
it's all a race, please know you'll be fine
at the end of the line
you'll feel devine
