i don't see whats wrong with the vocals i think it came out fine. its not a hard thing to sing and you did it just fine. anyways the song is great this should have a higher vote, :( i'm sry.
i like the "vocals" version better :D

something really interesting
well i loved the original song you posted, it really had a cool theme to it. this though, managed to keep to the original (by being exavlty like it) but with the slight vocals added made it more spacy. i mean, with the chorus part (if you can call it that) you just made it more like a relax song, and a look in the past. so not really as heavy as the main song yet made it more reminder of some past or olden time.
the ending could use some work, as the 2 voice samples don't mix that well.
overall i gave it a 9 as it could do with some touching up. but great work once again.
