Isn't uploading other people's work illegal?
Some of you may know that on a rare ocasion, I pick up an old track from a great Newgrounds artist and I'll try to boost the audio quality. I used to do that throught the years mainly for my own amusement, because these tracks that I chose were usualy absolutely awesome, yet they were too silent, or were held back by the technical difficulties, budged and etc.
Like I mentioned, I used to enhance these tracks mainly for myself, but then I figured that I shouldn't be so selfish and I always believed that there will be someone out there who will greatly appreciate (typo) what I did.
Fear was submited by Helix in 2004 and it has appeared in many great games. Namely the Thing thing things. :D
and the edited version is nothing more but the edited mp3 of the original that you can download from his library here on newgrounds.
I hope that this doesn't offend anyone and especialy the original creator, because this track is supposed to promote Helix and everything he has done for newgrounds.
- I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COMPOSITION.
Everything you hear was made by the user Helix6
- I just heavily equalized it to make is sound fresh, more 2013 like. Since the original audio was submited in 2004.
I'll provide a source link to the original sound ofcourse and you can even compare them.
Thanks Helix.
Where ever you are now, you were one of the most influental people who brought me to newgrounds and into making music.

Loud and nice
Love the loudness on this has a good hard sound here, So you have some nice effort here the sound quality is notbad but could be better, and there are the little things that really jump out at me, On an ending note I found this to be a good quality piece.
~X~
Slight bit of peaking, again you seem to have boosted those nasty 100-300 hertz a bit too high. They are drowning out the mix and causing unwanted mud in the mix. Crisp up those upper hertz ranges, and again lower the mid slightly. It almost sounds like you have a cutt off filter linked to the main chan. The mix is very muddy, however if this was taken via mp3 and re-mastered, you don't have many options to reEQ the original mix. On that note heavy heavy post mastering and specific hertz compression will get you out of those binds easily.
What sound system are you using? Because over here it ain't muddy at all.
I tried it out on my senhaizer headphones
and Z4 2.1 soundsystem.
I love the instruments and the bass-y, dark atmosphere. The distorted effects really add a lot to the piece. The structure is pretty interesting, but it could've used a little more dynamic contrast at times. I like what you did with the drums and the transitions, especially at 2:09. It got a little repetitive by the end, and I'm not sure exactly how much of this is your own original work, but it's still a pretty good remix. The part that bothered me the most was probably the very end. The synth at 4:49 sort of came out of nowhere, and it ended really suddenly. Still, nice work overall. I've seen your tracks on the front page a bunch of times before. I should've reviewed one of them earlier. ;)
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
