I made this song in 6 hours. I wanted to make a song that was simple and very catchy.
I tried something new with the mixing. Instead of making the song louder by raising the volume levels of the individual instruments, I left all the volume levels at what they were, and made the song louder with a compressor on the master channel.
The only problem I have with the song is that the melody might be an octave too high.

I love it. Very nice feeling to the song. Good atmosphere and that melody around 1:20 is great when the piano comes in. As always a simple, catchy and effective piece. :)

BlueOceans responds:

Thankyou. That made me feel very happy!

I actually really like this song dude, it's very nice and chilled. The vibes are great, the simplicity of the song is also somewhat refreshing when you think about how involved some songs can be.

The evolution of the melody is actually very well designed, I feel like I want more of the last melody though! It's as if you started to develop the song and then got bored, maybe you could come back to this when you're stuck for ideas? There's a lot of potential with this and I think that although, in it's current state, the song is good, with a bit more development it could be brilliant.

Something for you to ponder on at least. You're definitely getting more comfortable with your style.

BlueOceans responds:

Thankyou. You are right. I will go back to the song right now and make edits! I still want to keep the fade out ending.

Hey, BlueOceans! :D I like the melody and mood, right off the bat. I like the progression, too, with the gradually making the melody more complex and adding the beat. It's climactic, but also really relaxing. The structure is pretty cool. Could've used some more substance before around 1:45 at times, but the simplicity early on really adds to the chill atmosphere, which I liked. Later on, however, it really needed some more variation and substance, just because it felt a little too simple otherwise. Also, you know that I don't usually approve of fade-out endings, and this, I'm afraid, is no exception. Still, it's a pretty cool, upbeat track. Keep it up, man! ;D Oh, and sorry I didn't review your last track. My internet was screwed up. T-T ...but it's fixed now! ^^

Thankyou for the review! Don't worry about my last song, it was just a preview of a song I'm never going to finish. I agree that the song could use a little more complexity at the end. I hate fade out endings too, but I thought it was appropriate this time. I wanted a very relaxing ending.
