Ok... so your not gonna be playing this game on your NES console, but it still is going to feel like it. This is the title theme for the game I am making. It is an 8-bit game in the style of Dragon Warrior.
I know 8-bit games are overdone, but this is a solo, maybe duo project, and I still have many ideas to make this game unique.
I am limiting how many instruments are playing at once in these songs as for all of them only 4 instruments will ever be playing at once. I want the feel of these songs to be as genuine as possible, and NES songs only ever had 4 instruments playing at once.
And I am sorry, but I don't plan on making it a flash game, so don't expect it on the Portal, however... All music from the game is going to be uploaded here on Newgrounds!
Hope you enjoy the song, and yes it is derived from one of my older works "8-bit Groove".
This track has a very thrilling/adventurous feel, and gives that feeling straight from the start. Great for welcoming the player into the game.
Overall I think that the lead square are quite overruling the rest, and can become annoying in the long run, maybe tuneit down alittle, or/and play around with the sustain (shorten it?).
Not bad at all! Enjoying this one as well. o/
