Phew! I worked pretty hard on this one! Not sure if it's apparent to anyone else, but I feel like I've improved a lot since my last upload. I studied pretty thoroughly of the works of Motoi Sakuraba (Golden Sun) and Kenji Ito (Romancing SaGa) to try and figure out how to make a Normal Battle theme. Some Nobuo Uematsu slipped in too, but I hope it doesn't distract or detract.

At this point, I'm not that good at it, so I essentially just emulated their styles (Some would say stole!) It turns out to be much more difficult than a Boss Battle theme! It has to be much shorter of a loop and it has to very quickly grab the listener's attention, whereas a Boss Battle has time to build up, resulting in a much more epic sound.

I ended up learning a bit about music theory too (subdominants, dominants, and tonics), which is nice. Being totally self-taught, I kind of never really learned stuff like that (I don't even know what difficulty level something like that is at! If it's really basic then that's pretty embarrassing!)

So yeah, I hope you enjoy it! I would appreciate constructive feedback. Or not constructive is good too! I just like to know whether people enjoyed it or not.

This is amazing! it has a Golden Sun feel to it while at the same time feeling totally original!

Well "stolen" or not it seems to me you authentically studied and practiced their styles because this sounds like it could pass off in a multitude of RPG,s. Very nice job.

Haha, thank you very much. I put a lot of work into this piece and it remains probably my best so far.
I'm still trying to learn more about why that is, but I've yet to actually figure out the details of WHY it's good.

Hey thanks! Castle Crashers has an amazing soundtrack, essentially made up of composers from the Audio Portal too, so I take that as a great compliment!

Thanks! I have another song in a similar style coming up soon.
