I really should check Newgrounds more often, however I didn't think you'd be releasing a new song. Once again, this is fantastic. I think you should totally get paid for this stuff. Do you have a youtube channel? That'd be the place to start. I mean, your compositions are fantastic and catchy, your vocals are distinct and awesome. More people need to hear your work!
Anyway, the only thing I don't like is the fade-out outro; I think a more concrete ending for the song would fit it better.
Thanks for the feedback; it's really encouraging to hear these things from an objective source! I don't have a Youtube account yet (really should get on that), but my Soundcloud is https://soundcloud.com/noah-bananas. You're right about the fade; it's more than a bit of a cop-out. I'll come back and finish it off at some point in the future (it may be on an EP later), but I was clocking over 100 hours at that point and getting really bored with it, so I left it at that. Lame, I know, but I swear I'm gonna finish it. Thanks again for taking the time and for all the constructive feedback you've given me!
First... When the first Bass line comes in I thought, this guy is great!
Very funkadelic! Love the bass patch, was it created yourself or a preset?
Some great instrument choices at specific points which is very hard to nail, it is not all over the place as I hear a lot of these songs are.
Great remix, never heard the original but if it gets any better than this (Which I don't think it will) then I am going to check it out ;)
I never take a look at the original because I don't want to spoil it for myself.... I actually love it!
Great work seriously, fantastic remix and I don't have anything negative to say about it.
Thanks so much, dude! I generally start all my synths from scratch, so that bass was completely homemade!
A word on the original: I should've been clearer about this, but I'm not really sure that this technically qualifies as a remix, because I recorded my own vocals over it and basically decided to do away with the original entirely save for sampling its synths and vocoders. So it actually doesn't sound a whole lot like this!
