This one is much better, according to my taste and current mood : P
The loop is a bit more fluid, but could still use some tidying up.
Nonetheless, I love it and will spend the rest of the night listening to this!

Chronamut responds:

yup I tried.. but when you're trying to slice tiny bits of wav file together noone is having fun at that point.. the loop was a massive headache on my end..

and awesome :)

thanks for the review!

Many spacial events, in many locations in the listening space. I like it! It does seem a bit punchy on the tempo, I prefer the grace of melodies that don't exactly fall on the beat. I love the ambient noises, but was left wanting the vocals to be louder. It was a fun listen, glad to see that have returned :)

Chronamut responds:

I didn't want the vocals interfering with the flute.. everything needed to be subtle.. like the balance of tastes in a fancy meal.. so they were very intentional (also I don't wanna be sued lol)

and yeah.. I love being right on tempo hahaha :P

and it's good to be back.. glad to see you're still around too :)

thanks for the review old friend!

Heh... So, getting back into the review groove, I'll be short and sweet here. The tune is nice, and the melody goes pretty well; however, there are a few things that kind of stand out, and one of them is the really high-pitched instrument. I'm not entirely sure what it is (soprano piccolo or something?), but it's kind of annoying to the ears and resembles a high pitched screech. Other than that though, the only other notable dislike of the song is the loop part. At the end, the loop is harsh. The pan flute just cuts out. The other instruments seem to loop fine, but the pan flute is just flat, then a harsh cut off... Maybe a small fade-out or something would help to solve that? Some kind of softer release would really improve the loop.

All in all, it's a pretty good song. It's nice to know that you're coming out with new content again.

Chronamut responds:

well it took forever but I finally got rid of all of the high pitched screeching.. I also extended the last part to incorporate the missing piece.. it's not perfect cuz for the life of me I couldn't get the waveforms to line up perfectly on each channel so you'll hear a slight click as it loops... I tried to hunt down the original file but I think I overwrote it with the second version.. which also means I can probably never redo this song :/.. as for the flute it is impossible to do without wrapping it into the beginning of the song, and I didn't want to do that.

oh well.. gotta deal with the imperfections I suppose haha..

you know what I just found a source file that might be what I was missing.. I'll see what I can do. :)

*edit* tried to extend it.. except fl fucks up the beginning of the song and trying to repair it leaves clicks.. wayyy too much effort for what should have been an easy endeavour.. so fuck it.

thanks for the review!

This is much more dynamic than the other versions but theres still that ringing in my ears, if that was taken out and this was extended, would be perfect. Enya is amazing and this is quite the good cover. Has a lot of potential.

Chronamut responds:

I just took it out :)

unfortunately I cannot extend it due to overwriting one of the source files or just.. not being able to find it.. one or the other haha..

thanks for the review!
