NGADM2013 Round 1 submission.

Experimental progressive something something. Totally not pretentious. Enjoy. c:

At the first seconds, i thoght, wtf? Nice Bass intro... Bu then..... Whoa, it's like Fear Factory, totally heavy man.. Love it!

Lashmush responds:

Thanks. c:

I'm loving the 8bit tones and driving rhythm. Now if only there was an extended version...
Oh, and I really dig the vaguely-funerary start. Creepy-cool.

Lashmush responds:

I'll make it better on the album. c:

All out one of the best metal songs i have heard in the past few months. Really like this song!
Just wondering if you could turn this into a loop somehow, preferably from 1:02 to the end.

Keep on making awesome music <3

Lashmush responds:

Yeah, I can loop it for you. I'll throw it up sometime in the next week if I can remember to do it. c:

Cool song man. I don't think it's pretentious. Sounds like Rammstein (mainly of the part that starts at 1:00 with the guitar riffs and the synths) minus the vocals but plus 8-bit synths (the ones at 2:00 to 2:25 I mean) and guitars that are sometimes a bit more complex. I wish I could make my guitars sound like that. Too bad you're no longer in the game. You fought well. I want to hear more from you.

Lashmush responds:

There's always more. Life is my Audio Deathmatch. c:

Hi! I was a replacement judge for NGADM round 1 and this is my review of your track!
I scored mixing and composition/arrangement separately so I'll explain here what score I gave you and why. 8/10 in my scoring scheme is "Great", 10/10 is exceptional. To get 10 the piece needed to go beyond expectations, to have a unique sonic quality and present an original aspect (or several) in terms of composition.
Production (mix/master) 9/10
You have a good guitar sound, it's powerful, full and it rocks my windows in all the right ways. There are a few inconsistencies in the mix, some parts were less clear than others and maybe a little muddy so despite the solid guitar tone you didn't score a 10 here. No biggie, still some impressive work on the sound side of things!
Composition/arrangement 7/10
I found the piece a little repetitive at times, the riffs felt just a touch over used (in the same vein as Rammstein, which I would compare this piece to at a push). You did a good job mixing the genres, the electronica sections complimented the music well and I was nodding my head to the main riff.

8/10, so once again, good sound and pretty good mixing, a little less repetition and you'd be on the way to stardom!

Thanks a lot, I'll be sure to invest more time in variance and additional movements.
