Metal, Rock - General Rock

Author Comments

An experimentation of improvised writing style. Making riffs up on the spot, arranged this song in about a couple hours, added a silly guitar solo later on, and then asked Dave ELL (TRWT) if he'd like to contribute, and well here's what you get. "Lab Rats".

- Lyrics
one step closer
to ten-thousand tracks more
and a hundred-million feet
marching to war

Puppeteers playing
genocidal games
profit always comes
in society's flames

take the souls of the many to enrich a few
crush the lives of the people to empower you
Mislead the minds and build their false reality
crush the will of the people who haven't got a clue

hop to school little one
don't miss a moment of fun
wash your hands, ears and your brain
your lessons of servitude have just begun

White matter, grey matter
brain matter, doesn't matter,
my mind, your mind, never mind
Out of time, For a dime,
trading life for the loonie; cable; fibre; greenback

In my opinion the vocals could be redone, only a little tweek. other than that it was a great track.

Do you like System of a Down?

Spoonukem responds:

Yes, Dave and I both very much like System of a Down, as well as Serj Tankian's solo project, and Scars on Broadway! :D

IMO needs a little reverb on the vocals. Other than that it rocks. Good ol fashioned guitar shreddin at the end there.

Thanks man!

Good job. Don't see why everyone is getting pissy about the vocals. They're not bad at all. Also the guitar is great.

The first of many I hope. Thanks for the review, peach.

I love the music, although not a fan of the voice. Get a different singer and I think you have something awesome.

Spoonukem responds:

Haha, I'm sorry to have disappointed you. Thanks for the review!
