The Journey Must Go On

This was made as an intro for a game a friend of mine is producing. But that was a year ago, and I never finished it. It is still not done yet, cause I never seem to feel it was right. Working with fake strings is difficult for me :(

I haven't submitted anything in so long, so I decided just to submit this now, and see what you people think about it.

I hope you like it, but critics is highly appreciated also :))

Ah, Classical. Now this is right up my alley! Love the ambient opening. Nice use of strings and is a very nice lead up at the beginning I do think that you should have some plucked instrumentation in here as well giving it a bit more finished feeling. However this has a wonderful epic feel to it and it tells a story of a great hero =). I think a drum roll leadup with some strings and heavy cello (You know i likes my cello) would be a great way to end this song. All in all its a great listen. Good work..

This sounds nice. I get knocked for my fake strings from time to time, but hey it's what we got. Maybe it could be a bit more dramatic towards the end (maybe also add more percussion), it has a reserved quality to it, but then again I don't know what kind of game this is for.

Manhart responds:

Yeah you are right, the quality isn't too great, but then I would have to learn how to play the different strings myself xD Also, the file would have been too large if I rendered it to a version with a higher bitrate... Haha... It was intended for a RPG game.
I could try and make it more dramatic towards the end!
But thanks for the review, I really appreciate it!
