Unfortunately, I lied about using my voice. I know that with the handful of attempts I did singing something on this track, I realized it really took away from the journey I was trying to convey. It might not exactly be the same story the artist was intending, but here it is:

The song begins in the background of the image, the ethereal heaven-city. In this city, those of very high economic class live in the magnificent skyscrapers while the rest of the populous must lay below the cloud canopy, shielded from seeing what's actually out there. It is in this shielded area that an orphaned young man lives who once belonged to a wealthy family before his parents mysteriously perished. However, he wasn't quite old enough to claim his fortune and move into the skyscrapers yet. So all his life in the lower levels, he had a mind aching to discover what lay beyond the clouds and had grown tired of just living to live. Soon he became skeptical of his home when he discovered a story on the news about a small political rally being brutally shot down because of their protests concerning the "clouds crossing into the streets." With a heart full of whimsy and determination, he secretly constructs a small ferry vessel to traverse the seas and sneaks away unnoticed. He looks onwards with a passion to simply find answers.

As he travels deeper into the clouds, he notices their bright ivory color starting to dim into a dark blueish-gray. The odor is very unpleasant and makes it a little hard to breathe. Then very suddenly, his vessel passes through the unimaginably thick smog and he beholds a monstrous trove of waste, grossly undulating with the swell of the ocean. All around there are ships spewing the same thick smog into the air. There are towering platforms where long lines of garbage trucks pour seemingly endless amounts of trash into the sea, furiously slamming into each other along the way. The young man looks around stunned and horrified for a few moments.

Then, the young man quickly maneuvers his vessel back around and careens back to the shoreline, contemplating the absurdity he had witnessed along the way. A couple of months later, the young man has come of age to take his inheritance. With a small grin and a calm demeanor he whispers to himself: "Ignorance IS bliss..."
