Though I didn't like the way the timbre at the beggining sounded, once the brass kicked in at the end, I was locked in a trance.
Here's a short score I did for a student film about a month ago but didn't find the time to upload until now.
The film's unfortunately unavailable, so you'll just have to imagine a shady alley full of gangsters or something of the sorts.
Special credits once again goes to Felix Rheault for the trumpet recordings and general support throughout the project. Couldn't have done it without you, pal!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed! :)
The intro cals you and just leaves your mind blank but the trupet kicks in and really paints a pcicture of what you were trying to accomplish great job :)
I actually quite liked this track, it seemed like something that if worked out with the right percussion and choir, would fit right into some sort of Danny Elfman score. The various chords made great use of tension and release, offering melody and dissonance at just the right moments...I would have given this 5 stars if it had not cut off right and the climax...quite the musical cock-tease, lol. But if you're going to be docked a point for anything, at least it's the fact that I wanted to hear MORE of it.
Found this track in the "Review for Review" Audio Portal thread.
Good job and keep up the great work!
Seems perfect to me, it's just a bit short, though since it's an intro it's a good length.
Thank you!
The strings alone have a weird tinge to them hahahaha, but when combined with the trumpet, and from what I think I hear a soft accordion, it all blended very nicely. Wow that's a very short student film...but definitely quintessential of the noire type music, actually really captivating string melody that flowed very nicely. And of course, the trumpet is divine. Can't really think of much else to say since it's so short lol, but really nice musical sting, if you will.

Thanks for the nice words, Zip, I'm glad you enjoyed!
The reason it's so short is simply due to the fact that it's the intro theme, as I was asked to simply produce the occasional musical cues and intro.
Nonetheless, thanks again!
