Bataille Royale EXTEND

Nearly three years ago, drawing inspiration from Voyage 1969 from Touhou 8, I initially did two versions of this piece on Mario Paint Composer -- an SNES version and a piano version. (These two will be linked on the sidebar for your perusal).

Now, here's the extended version, which I prefer by a long shot, and which I hope to use for a certain bullet hell.

FL Studio 10.

Used in this project:

Akai-Steinway III soundfont, by Denis.

The tempo seemed far too fast to me, nothing wrong with the song though.

Troisnyx responds:

Have you heard Voyage 1969 from Touhou 8 yet? ;-)

Wow, I love this! Beautiful melodies, it reminds me of a song from Final Fantasy not sure which one, maybe X.
Good Job :)

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks ^_^ Admittedly, I wasn't thinking too much of Final Fantasy X because that one has a very enka-like style in a lot of its music. Any specific track you were thinking of?

Very beautiful - well done :D The piano is very light but very massive and dominant at the same time. The combination piano - flute fits very well. Good overall mixing and a wonderfull floating feeling. Thanks a lot!

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks to you for listening... I'm glad you liked it. ^_^ Any fine-tuning I can possibly do to the mix? Please PM, it'll be very much appreciated!

Whoah, nice! Smooth lines, very nice flow.
But HeartOfTheStorm does have a point. I see what you were trying to do with the pan. But it's kind of TOO off center. Like, far left. x) Try just panning it 70 to the left?

Anyway, great job. The piano solo is really impressive! :D

Troisnyx responds:

I will try that once I get a usable headset. : ) Just curious: would merging the piano with the entire piece (rather than separating it) help?

Thank you so much for listening! x

I really like this... excellent work friend! Great key changes, keeps things interesting. The flute/horn solos in the middle are really nice, I like that the piano keeps things going while still being subtle. Loops perfectly. Awesome job! 5 vote.

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks a lot! -- but what of the mixing? x
