Hi there. This is my entry for the Art-Inspired Music Audio Contest.
It's my first classical shot ever. Made entirely in Fl Studio 8 using CV-Piano and DSK string plugins (I'd like to use some professional ones but.. you know [$] :/ )
And here's the art that inspired me :

While this is a nice piece, I feel it needs more to it, and the strings that were added feel a bit out of place. There were a couple parts where it clipped in the mixing, otherwise mixing is fine. I could say this half fits the piece. I feel this could be developed into something more but a nice start.

First I had really a LOT of problems with strings in this piece. I orignally depended on on the piano part But felt like it was not complete by it self obviously. I'm just beginning my path here, and really expected more critisism to it (thank's for beeing nice hehe :). Well I tried making the right mood using a major scale. i'm not sure it worked as i planned, but i still think it's quite enjoyable. I'll try harder next time.

Sound: SADNESS!! T_T Mixing definitely needs a lot of work, and I think that is what is mostly holding this piece back from truly shining! D:

Composition: I like the piano lines you wrote for this track. Song structure wise, the song does get a bit repetitive. Also you could probably write more string parts in and/or more complex string parts.

Fit to Art: Sadly as the track stands, it only fits the art a bit. I can imagine that with better mixing how it can have so much more atmosphere to it and fit the image so much better!

Originality: Not too original of a track or an approach.

Thank you kindly for your feedback. I'm only a beginner, so i couldn't put out of myself as much as i intended in the first place. Thanks for not beeing too harsh :D I'll do my best to sound and feel better in the future. Just remember that i'm still learning.
Best regards.

I like the paino used in this and It was very well put together! Nice job keep it up

newslav responds:

Thanks. I'm really glad you like it. I'll do my best in the future :)
