A remix of Ellie Goulding's "Lights". Slightly inspired by the rad BassNectar remix. Starts kinda chill and builds more power as it goes. Enjoy!

Oh my god, THIS IS GARAGE BAND? I always thought Garage Band was just a crappy Mac software used for making cheap loops. I guess i was wrong.

Yep! Once you download additional software instruments, make some drum kits (I downloaded some dubstep kicks, snares and hats and mapped them to my midi keyboard), you can build a pretty solid track. You can even do a quasi-side chaining using the ducker. It's surprisingly powerful :)

GarageBand also has full-support for software like Massive, where you can get some really huge sounds like modulated dubstep basses, cool synths etc.

OMG Dude U R AWESOME THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Only One Question Did you do it from garage band?

OMGL33TH4X0R responds:

Yes, it was done in GarageBand. No pre-built loops were used though. I just use the software instruments and play everything on my MIDI USB keyboard.

It was a really good remix! =D The only downside is that for me at least, it felt like there should have been a drop and then some heavy bassline, but that´s may just might be a matter o taste. =) Nice job!

OMGL33TH4X0R responds:

Thanks! Would loved to have done some stuff with drops and wobbles, but I made this with GarageBand and my software instrument choices are a tad limited at the moment. Maybe I'll do a VIP remix one day :P

I don't know a lot about music, but what you added makes the song a lot more interesting and fun to listen to. I didn't really enjoy the original version of this song, but this one's definitely getting downloaded :)

OMGL33TH4X0R responds:

Thanks so much! Glad you liked it :)
