Easy Listening - Classical

A song I composed for the N A T A Music contest,
it's for a sad / mournful mood, like saying goodbye to a loved one.

Made with EWQL; Goliath, Symphonic Orchestra and Reason 6

What a nice, simple song. Perfect for the mood.

I love how you've used those longer notes and strings to accentuate the piano portions, it adds a great deal of emotion to the song. Every note tends to place me in that saddened mindset. The minimalist nature of the song acts as a double-edged sword though.

The periods of brief silence allow the listener to quickly reflect on what they've just heard, which is fantastic! However, for some, this may be undesirable. Personally, I like how you've added these moments of reflection because they further amplify the mood! :)

First off, I wanted to let you know that this a very great profound piece that truly evokes deep emotions from those who listen to it! On a second note, it is very popular as just about every Under Judgement animation I have watched lately has this piece included. Congratulations on not just beautiful music, but a hit as well!

Mattashi responds:

Thanks MediaMajesty!
The reason why you hear this in a couple of animations is because it was for the NATA Novice round, where animators had to pick one of the 4 songs and draw an animation from it :)

Just the best ebb of violin and piano.

I'm guessing the guy before me is trolling... this was an excellent piece, and actually I would love to hear it be a little longer. It's simple, but evokes a lot of emotion in listening to it. Well done! Kudos to you, good sir!

Mattashi responds:

Thank you BrerSteve, glad you liked it! I would have loved to make it a bit longer but the song could be no longer than 2 minutes for the NATA novice round, I might make a longer version one day.

Mattashi responds:

Thank you Chanisco, I would love to put up sheet music but the thing is I can't really write or read music. I could tell you what key they are in if you want.
