2-bits: Alpha and Beta

Alright so I haven't uploaded anything orchestral or otherwise recently because my computer has somewhat given up on anything that takes any decent processing power (that's another story).

This is for the Mac13 8-bit/videogame . I thought it would be fun to do something a little different to the adventure and action I hear a lot of and decided to tell a romantic progressive story between two little computer Bits Alpha and Beta (awwwww :P ). It may not be suitable for the genre of animation Bpremo may want, but it was enjoyable to try a 16-bit (Sega Genesis/Megadrive) tune for once. I'll leave the story up to you.

Good luck to everyone in the contest! Some great 8-bit creators have really impressed!

Note: oh and i know i wrote 2-bitS and 2-bit is already plural, but it was to put a spin on it to make it seem that they are two characters amongst many bits....look it make sense to me, alright! :P

Note 2: VOPM, ProtoPSG, SoftPSG and YM2612.

I love the hihat so much, also incredimuch dissonance wich does the track good for the atmosphere.
I particular love the 01:15 transition into melody, with the thumps in the background.

The dissonance, need to mention it again, makes this track extremely tragic as if the whole world is on the shoulders of the 'computers, forces it to existential levels.

The aim 'romantic does elude me a bit but i suppose thats because i am not familiar with the game it was made for.

(id like to hear something straightforward 8bit from you sometime btw, like a soft true classical piece)

Brings back memories of playing Streets of Rage with you to be honest! :D

Let the Arghh!, Ho-Yaa! and Heiigh's Ring out.

This is a very good song, kind of reminds me of Deux Ex and Mass Effect if they were thrown into a retro blender.

Very well done sir. :P

This is incredible! Loved it to the point of having to put it on repeat for a good hour :)

Ooooh it's very lugubrious. I tend to enjoy such songs more for some reason. It's powerful and packed with emotions. The generous use of the slow attack on the synths is what really gets to me.
Good job! :D
