Soundtrack to the upcoming short film "The Flowers," directed by Jason Derfuss. I wrote this suite as a blueprint for the score to get Jason's approval. Everything is sampled, except for the solo violin and cello, both performed by Stephanie Luna.

DAW - Studio One Pro 2

VST - Cinematic Strings, Hollywoodwinds, EastWest Symphonic Orchestra, New York Concert Grand, Absynth, Stephanie Luna XD

What a lovely piece of composition!
I always adore the original violin and cello and you did wonderful job here by beautifully integrated in this piece. Yes, sampled libraries have their own limitations but everything apart from 'limitations' is just fitting and mind blowing. Great piece indeed!

An excellent composition. High level recording for both the violin and cello parts. I really appreciate the quality of everything here. Excellent use of dynamics overall. I love it when a piece containing sampled instruments effectively employs a wide range of dynamics. Though from around 2:26 to 2:50 or so, it the crescendo/decrescendo thing you've got going on sounds a bit forced and less natural. However, it still achieves its intended effect.

I understand this is intended to be more of a "demo" for the film, so with that in mind, I note some themes just falling off in what feels like the middle of a phrase (like at 2:11 and 3:55). This could make perfect sense when applied to a film, but as a standalone piece you lack a few transitions.

This is top notch work. You have a lot of talent. I'm going to check out your other stuff, and I'm very interested to hear what else you'll come up with! You'll be a contender here on NG.

Very beautiful. I like the sounds of the instruments you've used. Nice how you were able to use real players too. The samples sound very good as well. Really professional.
