This song is about a house in Calgary, AB.

The house is no longer there, but when it still stood it was the dysfunctional home for myself and 3 other men all in our early 20s.

Upon moving in the landlord let us know that the house would be demolished in 9 months and in those 9 months we could do whatever we wanted within the property.

By the time our lease ran up we had covered every wall of the household in some form of visual art. We had broken holes in the the walls and fallen through the ceiling while exploring the attic. We had left an array of destroyed furniture in the basement a teetering stack of scummy dishes in the kitchen and upside down sailboat in the back yard.

My experiences at 2824 26 street were some of the most unsustainable, abusive, and glorious moments of my life. Every week was a new experience with new friends and usually new chemicals.

2824 26 street held some of the best times I have ever had in my entire life.
I am stoked to have had them, but I am very glad that they are over.

This song is the story of 2824 26 street.
