Sorry about the AudioJungle watermark. I'm selling licensing for this track through AudioJungle so they require me to put it on there. For anyone interested, a non-commercial usage license is $14 and an extended commercial use license is $70.
There's not much to this piece. It's more of a scene setting piece than anything. Just short and simple piano work. I would have to say the main inspiration behind this is the piano works of Nobuo Uematsu, the famed composer behind the Final Fantasy series.
There's several variations on this track in the package that you get when you purchase a license. This includes a seamless loop, shortened versions without the climax, piano only versions, ect. All files are in WAV format and of course, they have the watermark removed. You can hear previews of these altered versions on AudioJungle.
For the musicians interested, the piano samples I used here are Native Instrument's Kontakt library called The Giant. Really nice piano library. I applied a bit of parallel compression, convolution reverb, and some other subtle processing. I think I got a nice sound out of the quieter sections of the song, but looking back I wish I would have put more effort into the climax section. It sounds overly compressed or something. It's funny how you don't notice that kind of stuff while you're composing a song, but if you come back after a few days and give it a listen then it's obvious :\
Yeah. You guys should totally leave me some comments! They might just inspire me to get off my lazy, procrastinating butt and record some more songs :)
