In fear of meeting fate, Gilgamesh sets out to meet with Utnapishtim and his wife, the only survivors of the Great Flood. They had been granted immortality by the gods and Gilgamesh too hopes to attain immortality.
In order to find them, his goal is to reach Dilmun where they are said to live, he first travels far to the east, crossing great rivers and oceans, to the mountain passes at the ends of the earth where he grapples and slays monstrous mountain lions, bears and other beasts of nature.

After uncountable days of traveling he finally reaches the twin peaks of Mount Mashu at the end of the earth, from where the sun rises from the other world, the gate of which is heavily guarded by two terrifying scorpion-beings.
Gilgamesh does not attack them, but he attempts to persuade them by revealing his divinity and desperation.
They let him through without opposing and the gate opens... leading him to trials he never saw coming...

His journey continues to the Dark Tunnel where the sun travels every night. he struggles to survive the blinding darkness and after 11 long leagues he runs for his life as the sun is catching up with him, and with the North Wind and ice lashing him, he reaches the end. The world at the end of the tunnel is a bright wonderland full of big trees full of sparkling gems. The glimmering light is more beautiful and astounding than anything he has ever seen in his life...

Is it just me or is the rhythm guitar in this song way too panned into the right ear?

I find it really bothersome, to be honest. It's really my only complaint with the song, but it's enough of an annoyance for me to really not enjoy the song that much.

Sounds strange, do you have a connection issue with your speakers or headphones? The panning is fine and it's been adjusted carefully throughout the tune.

This is awesome, just great leads, riffs, and everything. That part that starts around 1:28 is mad chill. Great job dude

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks Brody! Glad you like it, rock on!

I haven't been online on Newgrounds in quite a while and when I finally did decide to get online the first thing I did was go to your page and I am glad to see that you are still making awesome music.

Keep up the great work, man.
I look forward to hearing more awesome stuff.

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks for writing dude, glad you dig it, and yeah still making music, and will never stop! :D

You and I would get along. cuz.... I push the button, and I hear stuffs that I would write, but can't cuz I could never be you. I can only write what's in my head, but it is similar. I love how eccentric your music is. I can tell you heard this in your head, and expressed it. You did it very well at it too.
