Alright, I have a lot to say about this one.

I've essentially pushed what little mixing/mastering skills I have to the limit with this track. I've attempted to incorporate much stronger bass and percussion than usual, and overall intended to create a more powerful song. I'm not confident at all in the end result, but I'm completely sick of spending hours tweaking it. So here it is.

The intro was based on Livewire's "Fading Light." This was originally an attempt to replicate the intro because I liked it a lot, but I decided to elaborate upon it.

This is also my first time using my own sounds with NI Massive, so the bass sounds kind of amateur to me. Maybe it's just my ludicrous compression.

I'm also unsatisfied with how un-melodic this piece is compared to my other work, and so I want to make something heavily melody based next song. Probably an Orchestral-DnB hybrid.

Enjoy and stuff.

I really like the synths and the bassline, very well made, but the drums sounded a bit weird.

Geoplex responds:

Oh well, thanks :P

Your ability to compose varied and symbiotic compositions, really shines best in this piece. Maybe if you're looking for a fresh approach, check out the waveforms of your most popular audio submissions... maybe you'll see a pattern? When I listen to instrumentals like this, I'm imagining myself doing great deeds, suffering, loving, doing things that accompany the music; a soundtrack for my delusions :)

Geoplex responds:

Composition is a funny thing, really. I feel like I used to be a lot better at it than I am now because I composed with some weird part of my subconscious that just did whatever I felt like doing. The more rules there are, the harder it is to make anything that I feel is of any value... though I do so worship the idea of "technically good." Not sure why I kept typing this just now but it felt right, lol.

The only patterns i see in my waveforms are the way I structure my drops and breakdowns, unfortunately :P It's an interesting suggestion, though.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback!

Well... to be honest, i don't know what i expected, and i don't know what i get. I listen to this track once... and i though that it wasn't at the level of other master pieces you have made before... but i give it a second try, and it was like... all weird, it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't awfull. So i give it another try, and it was just a little better. I like how this kind of music dance with my imagination, is just amazing, and you know how to do that haha, but this song... i feel like there was something that didn't let my imagination flew everywhere. I give it 3.5 because it was great, but there was something that make the track... Not-Perfect. But, even with that, is a great track. Congrats! :D

Geoplex responds:

This is probably the most *technically* electronic song I've made, and it has a very simple chord progression. I aimed for power over anything else and I still feel it's more successful than Ocean of Stars (certainly more so than Momentum.)

I'm thankful that you took a few listens before you shared your opinion, because most people go on first impressions and often a cursory glance doesn't represent what you end up feeling about a song - there's been plenty of music I've disliked at first, but then warmed up to.

Whether or not this is one of those songs for you, I appreciate the feedback!

You're really Good with making Songs..
And its Titles!! Yeah..!

Geoplex responds:

Thanks :D

Rather underwhelmed with this title in retrospect to be honest, though :P

After reading Randomguy78's review, I could easily imagine this being in a video game. Keep up the good work! Love your stuff.

Geoplex responds:

Thanks! :D
