LiquidOoze - The Eight Lion (Original Mix)

At last, a new song! And my first one of 2013 too!

This is a project that I started way back in 2012, and picked up a month or two ago.
The title obviously refers to dubstep artist Seven Lions because the style unintentionally is kinda like his. The vocals are cut from a vocal line I found in a random sample pack, as far as I know there should be no copyright issues. Anyways, rate fair, review, download and, most importantly, enjoy!

The synth sound is a little to loud of contrast to the rest of the sounds, but its nice.

lol, trance dubstep.

Slick sounds, cool idea, perfect melodies. The only thing that's bothering me is the drum kit. I felt like the snare could have been so much bigger... wider. Dunno. I have a thing for chode snares.

Oakwood responds:

Agreed, the snare is not your average 'punch-you-in-the-guts' snare, but if it were it would kinda defeat the 'softer' side of the song IMO.
Thanks for the review brah!

Ggood song. Just be careful next when using a low pass filter cause have some distorsion noise on the track at the beginning...

Oakwood responds:

Very true, I've got that problem in a lot of my songs. Probably should be more careful with that. :)

Nice I like.. Sorry for not keepin' up with your workpieces but anyways, this song is a pretty catchy song but the intro bass was a bit too early. I would've liked it if you worked onto the intro a bit more. It's good though.

Oakwood responds:

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind!

Great melody and ambiance. Nice and chill with a vocal insert I actually liked. Well done.

Oakwood responds:

Thanks a lot! It was kind of an experiment for me to create such an ambiance, I'm glad it worked out. :)
