LoFi distortion early on in the song, hard to listen to and bear with my headphones (which means something is amiss with the mastering, something too loud, or something EQ'd completely wrong.) Overall the track seems to be Sytrus presets (at least the background is,) I'd try looking for other VST's if you're not comfortable with creating your own sounds as of yet. Not very interesting, and overall sub par composition. But since this is a collab I can understand the idea sharing process is hard to come by, and therefore extremely limiting (since you have to abide by one another's VST's, and samples... such a big mess there.)
I'd continue to work on this track, maybe change it's makeup overall to try and make it more... listenable. 140 BPM seems a bit fast for this, try increasing the bass range and make it at maybe 128 BPM? (Electro House tends to favor this.) Though you did provide no mastering in your description, I'd make sure you capitalize on it for it feels this track has limited flavor.
Also Just an FYI, I also do this as a hobby. I collect no monetization from album sales or youtube, the costs go towards equipment and keeping my website going (which are mainly only paid for by myself.) Really I only make music for one person, and that's me. Trust me when I say record labels are scams, and they'll only screw you over in the end. Friendly advice~
Keep working on the track, bit more polishing and elbow grease and it could become something you wouldn't expect from yourself.
Thanks for the review! It is just a little build up that I would have to do a ton of work to. And I also make music for one person, myself. But I figure I may as well share it. Can't hurt.
Wonderfully done, well it just keeps reminding me basshunter so i would classify it as a EuroDance song, or techno... nice work
Thank you very much! It does remind me of basshunter too, which is why I like it. haha
Love the bass synth this, i always have a hard time getting a sound like that. Would you want to collab on this? I like it, and its my favorite chord progression.
Thank you very much. I may already be doing a collab. If not, you will be the first I go to :D
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
