he was vindictive to the mother
yet drew his sword upon the father
their motives clear to one another
he took defeat in this encounter

countless spoken tales are plagued with riddles
in the book of legend
a timeline drawn in greed and vengence

they deaden

she had a beauty of no other
the secret hidden from her brother
so when this tragedy befell her
she was to be alone forever
