I am unfamiliar with the program you used to create this and its limitations. However i shall try to review it the same as i would any other program.
You were missing something that aids chip tunes in carrying the theme across. That would be chords. If you look back to megaman 3 for example, most if not all of their songs had multi lead chords. Chords being formed by intertwining leads and themes. Even when they were using basic chord progressions and rhythm in said chords they were there to aid in establishing a mode. the bass is generally used for aiding in setting a key, chords with the lead are used for setting the said mode of that key. Your drums were slightly loud in sections and might want to tone them back slightly so it doesn't over power the entire mix itself.
Over all it was a pretty catchy chip tune.
Thanks for your tips!
Hmmm....it definitely loops alright, but I think that given the effect of low sound quality, something seems to be missing...like it's sort of disjointed or something....what did you use to make this? Sounds like Abelton with a plugin keyboard.
I used Renoise without any hardware controllers.
