Really cheap recording of this song, so blame the poor quality to artistic decision?
Lyrics:
Funny words and faster lips
I never thought it'd come to this
Passionate, oh passionate was I
Repeat these words and you kissed my lips
Everything always ends like this
We were just trying to have a good time
Oh sweeter words and sweeter lips
I'll miss your hair and I'll miss your hips
But everything one day will die
I miss your sight and I miss your smell
And you'll never be able to tell
But nobody else has ever made me cry
Well heartbreak tastes like chocolate cake
Cigarettes and there's nothing to take
back from me, I left it all behind
Hear these words and read my lips
I hate that my life has come to this
And I hate it even more over time
Taste my blood and feel the shame
Guilt is the name of the game
Be careful, it'll eat you alive
And not that I'd expect you to care
Change your morals and change your hair
But you can't change these feelings of mine
And it's been long enough, I should move on
Fuck this girl and fuck this song
But happiness doesn't have a master
As of now, let's stay the same
Silence except for point blame
At everything but ourselves.
I'll say these words loud and clear
There's nothing left to conquer here
I'm sick and I'm sad all the time
And I only wish the best for you
Just as long as you always stay true
to that girl that I used to adore.

I like the chords and rhythm a lot, but is generally sloppy. The drums, bass and all that are out of sync which you could fix with a little time and the vocals are way too low. You sound like you have a good voice so lets hear it! Again i say i like the chords and melody and i like that ending breakdown too, would be cool if it went back into the song and served as bridge type thing. Anyways i like it but it needs lots of improvement. Keep it up :D
Thanks mate! I have recorded a more "polished" version where the vocals are loud and everything is in time, but when I compared the two versions I felt like the polished version lost all of the energy and emotion that comes from this "lo-fi," garage, version. I might make the vocals louder that way people can hear what I'm saying, and I do admit there are a few points where the drums are WAY too off. I've revisited this song like 7 times this year, I'll probably rerecord it and take all that in consideration!
