The direction of this piece is excellent. It almost reminds me of "Impressionism" in its form. I definitely liked the Latin influence near 4 minutes. I will have to admit that the variations are so plentiful that at some times it felt a bit disorganized in a beautiful way. Which could be in itself the end result that you were trying to achieve. What I really think is that you have been studying music and practicing so hard, that it has become a second language for you, except, when everyone is speaking English you are speaking Japanese. If I had any advice, and please take it with my utmost respect, that you should try to connect a little more with your audience by creating familiarities that they are used to hearing. Phrasing, melody, etc. Some people might say that sounds like I am asking you to sell out, but actually, unless you are getting paid for it, there is no such thing. In the music industry you do what you have to do to get paid, but this is Newgrounds.com, and there is no selling out. This is where all the independent underground people go, at least for now.... *furrowed brow*
In conclusion, this is an epic piece, and once again, you have shown me your true talent, and by no means am I disappointed. It is amazing for someone so young, with all the time in the world ahead of them. Truly impressive.
I agree with everything sorohanro said. Seriously awesome stuff! \m/
Awesome fusion, awesome soloing, unexpected harmony and rhythm changes. The xylophone it gives a slightly Zappa feel.
Great work, a definitive "MUST LISTEN".

I listen to certain things twice a day, every day.

Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
