A giant island floating above the clouds and moving around the world at a random pace and direction. It is also known as the island where time stands still. This name has become the most famous way to describe the place, because due to an unknown reason, anything related to technology stops working once it's on the island.

Many people travel to this mysterious place to experience a pure way of life, no superficial ways to pass time. Everything is natural and beautiful. Dinosaur-like lizards of many sizes live in caves all around the area and tree eating animals with peculiar forms reside on the open spaces.

There are millions of strange bugs living under the island with a unique reversed-gravity power that is the reason why the Island is held up in the sky, but researching them further has been prohibited due to the islands pure and peaceful state.

So if you want, and if you dare, visit the Island of Githrau and leave your own world behind, if just for a little while.

It's been a while since I reviewed any of your songs, but I'll start with a follow up from my review on "Lake of Viridia" and say that after giving it a thorough relistening to and then listening to "Floating Island Githrau", I would have to say that I continue to be struck with awe by the level of your skill.

My fiancee and I both agree that were it possible to escape to such a place, to live, thrive, and simply exist in such a place would be a veritable paradise. It saddens me deeply that such a place does not exist, for to live both above the world and above its problems is only achievable in our dreams. However, it is always refreshing to receive new and exciting dreams from others, for this lets us know that we are not alone in a world of inescapable hardships.
If I had the technical know-how and the parts, I would gladly build a sky-screw as designed by Leonardo di Vinci and escape to such a place as Githrau, but I'll just have to settle for letting the wings of my imagination fly me there every now and then.

uh...I think you should watch Castle In The Sky by Hayao Miyazaki. that describes your island very well. as to the piece, I love it. good luck to you sir.

This has an Asiatic feel to me, and it almost sounds like it belongs in an anime or something, which your description put me in the mind of Laputa:Castle in the Sky.
