So Lady Arsenic released a song today which can be found here.

I've always loved this song, it's just a gorgeous melody, a pretty haunting lyrics. Just the way I like it.

Anyway I spent a few hours today adding a few layers of my own. Some woodwinds, some strings, and just a tad bit of choirs.

I can spend days, maybe weeks on this piece but sadly I don't have much more time so I wanted to both spread awareness of this song and do my own little thing on the side.

Lyrics (copied from original song)
(chorus)
Mile by mile and day by day,
The Lonely Bard goes on.
Through the wind and rain he makes his way
And sings his mournful song

To every village high and low
He went to sing his tale of woe.
He never had a place to call home
And wandered through the hills all alone

From verdant spring to bleak chilly fall,
He followed naught but his muse's call.
No shelter had he from the bitter cold
And perished in Winter's icy hold.

[chorus]
I see him in my dreams and hear his cry,
Another sleepless night goes by.
His tune, it haunts my every waking hour!
No solace can I find from his power

[chorus]
Long ago and far away
Upon a frozen moor,
He lost his life one tragic day
And haunts me evermore

I absolutely love this.

Needs to be in a video game like Ocean Horn!

I could just picture it as I listened to the song.
From the start of the Bard's long journey, to the very end when he lost his life.

I will tell you this, and I mean it when I say....
This song is truly amazing.
A song that can evoke such imagery and feeling...is a masterpiece in my opinion

I love the song... I wish there were words or a story i could write to describe it, but the vocals seem to do that for me, yes? Anyways i'll just drop this quick review and show some love to you guys and your music. Keep it up ^_^

I love the vocals. They're soft and human, talented, but not making a show of it like an opera singer. I love that kind of voice to death and I wish there was more of it.

I love the melody. Bard music has always been a favorite of mine. It somehow always produces some of the prettiest melodies.

I love the lyrics. They fit the melody perfectly and are poetic to read on their own, though they sound even better in the song.

This is my favorite song on Newgrounds, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
