at 0:34 the picture looks like the enchtrance to a mansion love it!!!! YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Intro sounds very "housey". I think it's mostly because of the kick on every beat, rather than utilising dubstep's general half-time kick snare template. But I like this little hybrid :) The dela-drenched pluck sounds REALLY nice. It goes very well with the bass and arpeggiated synth.

I didn't really like the chorus. I think you've mixed down that section well, but forgot about the stereo image. Everything seems to be coming from the centre of the speakers. I think it might help if you just added a bit stereo delay to some of the synths to make them more distinguishable. Also adds some excitement and variety would you believe!

The chorus is a bit choppy too. Try overlapping the synths rather than cutting them as soon as the next one plays. Try recording live. Always helps to make your music sound more humanized and not as choppy/robotic. Try playing with the attack of your chorus synths. Medium attacks (when sidechained to the kick) sound SUPER heavy if triggered at the same time as a kick.

So far, I'm impressed with the intro and your mix. But the sounds a bit awkward. Maybe give a splash of reverb a try too! ;)

Awesome work! 4/5 7/10

Whoa, thanks for the review, lots of constructive feedback. I'll have to google some of these terms, like stereo image. You make me sound like a complete noob. Thanks again :D

Oh man, that part at 2:00 was unexpected and mind blowing! I gotta say it sounded awesome and you had great synths and melodies. The only thing that made me almost move on to something else was the two minute intro, however, it had a nice trance feel. My only wish would be for the main bass part two be longer. Any way, this was a great song and I hope to hear the finished version.

alright, gonna do to the standard 0:55 bass drop :p thanks for the review! :D

Love the melody! I do think that the beginning needs some percussion but not too overpowering. Would love an epic drop with massive build up instead of what you did. The ending is fine being all stripped down. Keep working it and it surely might end up on the top audio list!

zlarke responds:

Thanks for the review! You don't know how happy I get when someone writes one.

I agree with all your points. Though I suck at making massive build ups, I shall try!

Thanks again :D
