I made this track for 'Oblivion Music Overdose' which is one of my mods for the Elder Scrolls.

I know this is one of my more.. slower pieces, and it contradicts the other aggressive and exciting music which makes up my portfolio on Newgrounds, but I wanted to make something gentle and simple. If I had made it anymore dynamic, then it would have defeated the purpose as to why I created the song -- that purpose being to create something that could play in the background without commotion.

The instrument I focused on in this piece was the cello, and tried to find substantial support with other instruments. I was a bit sloppy, but shifting from low to high ranges with the cello, I was able to to add appropriate diversity and also two key changes which is what I'm apparently infamous for.

Overall, a song that expresses curious emotions.

Wonderful composition Jon, The Cello sounds magnificent. 5 from me. What equipment and software do you use?

I must admit when I heard the intro I had a flashback to the first time I played Oblivion. That and I thought this was going to be just another remix. It feels like I just entered a new world, beautiful as Cyrodill but brighter and darker. For an odd reason I get no sense of peace but of paranoia from this song. Beautiful though sadly my certain computer cannot run oblvion or I would've most certainly downloaded and used this music mod. I love oblivion like its my younger brother, most likely because it introduced me to the mythical games of Bethesda Studios.

Bosa responds:

Yes, it is quite a good game.

It's a beautiful piece from all regards in my opinion. It's not too fast, not to slow; not to loud, but not to soft. It's just... there.

Bosa responds:

And it is in your heart, I presume?

The transition from the faster paces to the slower paces is excellent, keep it up.

Bosa responds:

Thank you. I hope to make more music soon.

It is a very sad piece expressing something akin to a person who has just lost everything and has nothing to do but keep walking.

Bosa responds:

Very true.. this is a piece devoted to many types of emotions including sadness. I could picture a young man losing the one he loves in a film. He then, just as you suggested, has no other choice but to move on and design a new future for himself. Thank you for reviewing, because it encourages me alot.
